This survey needs you

Half of IFLS library directors and only 11 staff have completed the IFLS planning survey. John Thompson would like to hear from YOU. The deadline for this survey is August 16 (tomorrow!).

Celebrate warriors for intellectual freedom!

(From Christinna Swearingen, director, Rusk County Community Library) Please nominate anyone that you think would qualify for the newly reinstated WLA IF award, to be distributed either at WLA or WEMTA’s annual conference. As someone who is on the founding committee, we would like to bring as much awareness as possible to the warriors in IF across the state.

How to Nominate
  • Nominations can be submitted by any WLA or WEMTA member, except for those who serve on the WEMTA or WLA Intellectual Freedom Committees.
  • Submit nominations on the WLA website. WEMTA members will be asked to enter their email address as a “New User” in order to access the nomination form.

Q: Should I save up all the entry forms and submit them at the same time, or should I send them as I get them?

A: Either way is fine, whichever works best for your library.

The last day of the passport program is August 31. There are some new graphics in the toolkit. Watch this space for program wrap-up details.
