Keeping Up With Kids

Right now we are doing our very best to promote what services we can provide in any way we can.  And we’ll have an interesting job conveying information about our shift back to services that require more contact, too!  Here’s a round-up of some Professional Development opportunities that will hopefully help you with this!

Time sensitive:  Thanks to Wisconsin Literacy, the recording of Beth Gaytan from Wisconsin Literacy’s webinar about Plain Language (no longer available)–until May 7! Now that even more of our communication is written, it is extra important to pay attention to making that clear for everyone, including people who struggle with reading English.  This was an excellent webinar!

Using Social Media as a Tool to Advocate Diversity and Inclusion, an InfoPeople webinar with Kim Crowder (formerly at Indianapolis Public Library)

The marketing consultants at several Wisconsin systems have worked hard to create some resources for libraries, including a Marketing Plan Template!  Lots of resources here!
