From the IFLS annual report team

Annual report time is here, and Adam, Katelyn, and I wanted to share the schedule/timeline to ensure submission by the mandatory deadline. You should have received notification via email on 1/24/2023 that the electronic form is now available. If you did not receive the email, please check your spam folder and general library email account to see if it was sent to that account. The email would have come from WI@countingopinions.com. If you don’t receive it by the end of the day please let us know.

The Annual Report Instructions and Worksheets have been updated for the 2022 report. Please review the instruction before completing the annual report form. They can be found either at the DPI site https://dpi.wi.gov/pld/data-reports/annual-report.

Additional IFLS specific information and additional updates will be shared via email.

January 2022–IFLS Staff has compiled some of the information to prefill annual report data. This data will primarily be MORE collection, patron, and circulation related data.

The 2022 Annual Report Financial Data Spreadsheet for expenditures/revenues from IFLS are attached to this email. Please use this information to complete the appropriate sections.

January 24, 2023 —Receive notification via email from the State that the electronic form site is open. Your ID and Password will be included in that email or one prior from the State. IFLS will send out an email letting you know that you should have received an email.

February 14, 2023–Deadline to have the Annual Report Data entered and the form locked for review by Adam Fuller, Katelyn Noack, and John Thompson. We will be reviewing reports as they are completed. Please email Adam, Katelyn, and John when you are ready for us to review your reports. We will review and contact you if we have questions about the report. We will let you know it is okay for you to print the report and have approved and signed by the library board president.

February 23, 2023–Signed print copies must be received via email at the IFLS office. This year you can send signed, scanned PDFs to Joanne Gardner at gardner@ifls.lib.wi.us. The PDF file name should be “2022 City Name” like 2022 Ladysmith. IFLS needs them by the 23rd to make sure the forms are properly signed so IFLS can email them to the DPI by the State Statute deadline of March 1st. If you don’t have the ability to scan and email the report, you can send the report via courier, so it arrives in the office by the 24th.

We will be sharing additional Annual Report updates as needed.

REMINDER—When contacting Adam, Katelyn, and John about annual report questions, please copy all of us on the email. This will allow us to respond as quickly as possible to your questions.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

John, Adam, Leah, and Katelyn

These are copied from emails from John. Please watch your inbox for updates.

There is a bug with submit/lock.  Reports are verifying that there are no errors but libraries are unable to submit/lock.  If you have completed your reports and verify shows no errors. Please let us know and we will review your reports while we wait for the bug to be fixed.

Note– Adam, Katelyn, Leah, and I will be at the Annual report workshops on Wednesday and Thursday. Responses to questions may be delayed.

Changes coming in 2023. These changes DO NOT apply to the 2022 Annual Reports that you are working on in January 2023.
