MORE recommends that you view these reports weekly.  Sometimes holds or requests do not generate paging slips.  To find items requested by your patrons or requested from your library that may be hung up, search this report for holds older than one week that are still listed as available.

Viewing Outstanding Holds for Your Patrons

Select the “View Outstanding Holds” function from the upper-right dropdown to see the following screen:

The date for “Limit to holds placed before” defaults to today’s date.  Backdate it one week.

From the dropdown showing “PATRN NAME”, select “STATUS” and enter “available”.

Under Pickup Location, click the top button to limit holds to your library.

Click the “View Outstanding Holds” button to generate the list.

Be patient while the list loads.

Once the list is generated, you can sort by any of the columns listed by clicking on the column header:  Date Placed, Not Needed After, Patron Info, Title, Call #, Item Loc, Pickup Location, Hold Status.

By default, the second column is “Not Needed After”.  Right-click on the column heading to change it to “Not Needed Before”.  If a date is present in the “Not Needed Before” column, the hold is frozen and you do not need to take any action.

If there is a hold placed longer than a week ago that is still available and not frozen, contact the library listed in the description and ask them to check on it.

You can print the report if needed by choosing File from the top toolbar and choosing Print Report:
