Zero to Three recently put together a lovely PDF for parents and caregivers, talking about the effect of music on very young children, including suggestions for activities and ideas about how various ages may interact with–and benefit from–music.  Number one recommendation?  Sing and hum to babies and toddlers!  This might be an interesting handout or resource to share with families, especially if you have a music-related program for young ones.
