• Courier routes combined

WALTCO routes 1303 (St Croix & Dunn) and 1312 (Polk & St Croix) combined today (2/22/18) and possibly on Friday. 1303 libraries affected: Somerset, New Richmond, Roberts, Hammond, Baldwin, Woodville, Menomonie, Colfax, and Elk Mound. If your library has later delivery today, if you could let Maureen know the time you receive, that would help me track this combination. Thanks and if have questions, please contact Maureen/IFLS.

  • New automated telephone system running

MORE's new automated telephone notification and renewal services have replaced their older counterparts as of Monday. Neither patrons or staff need to do anything differently, except expect to hear a new voice! Phone numbers have not changed. Please submit an IFLS help desk ticket if you hear of any problems.

There is so much to juggle in our lives--work, family, home, and troubling world events.  Add to that demanding jobs where we are working with a sometimes challenging public, some of whom are facing difficult challenges of their own.  Sometimes we lose track of the things we need to do to keep our work--and our lives--functional and sustainable.  Leah Langby will lead a workshop to examine some signs of burn-out and steps we can take to develop our own resiliency.  You'll have a chance to talk with each other and self-reflect, and will hopefully walk away feeling calmer and ready for more juggling!  This workshop will also be offered:

March 15:  Ladysmith, 1-3

March 16:  IFLS, 1-3
