Summer Library Programs are hard upon us, I hope you are all holding up well! Here’s a new idea, in case your idea box is empty!

Nick Glass, the founder of TeachingBooks.net, posted a note to a list serv about the idea of having a read-aloud streak for families, sort of like a pitching or hitting streak in baseball. It started with this New York Times article about a family that carried on their streak from fourth grade till college!

Maybe there are applications for this for libraries. It sure seems like it! Especially for kids who are interested in sports and statistics, it might be a fun thing to try.
