The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire is seeking a teen summer intern. We encourage teens from all backgrounds to ensure we get the best, most creative talent on our team. The goal of this internship is to introduce teens to library work and for them to a complete a connected learning project founded in library services. The ideal candidate will be interested in working with diverse populations, be flexible and customer service focused, interested in library work, and want to have fun while working hard. We are looking for a smart, innovative, energetic, and dedicated high school junior or senior between the ages of 16-19.
This is a part-time seasonal internship running for 6 weeks, from mid-July to end of August. The wage will be $16.00/hr. funded through a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The proposed schedule would be 12-20 hours/week with primarily Monday-Friday daytime hours, with occasional weekend or evening events.
