Kits are all available for you to borrow to use in the library.  It is also possible to book them on behalf of community organizations, and school librarians can get their own account, too.  They travel through the courier.  All kits are booked by librarians, using software set up for that.  To get started with registering for this software, please fill out this form.  Daycares, Headstart programs and other agencies interested in borrowing kits must contact their local library, who can check them out on behalf of these agencies.

Themed Preschool Story Kits 

There are 38 kits thematic kits, especially designed for preschool storytimes.  Each include several books, storytelling aids, music, and ideas.

Large Motor Kits

There are four large motor kits that are designed to supplement storytimes.  They include things like parachutes, beanbags, instruments, and music.

Board Book Kits

There are six board book kits, each containing 20 copies of the same board book to use for unison reading in preschool, toddler, or baby storytimes.

Sensory Storytime Kit

The sensory storytime kit has books, storytelling aids, several music resources, and large/small motor/sensory items, along with ideas for making storytime more inclusive to kids who have sensory issues.  (Created with funding from an LSTA grant from the IMLS)

Early Childhood Exploration Kits

Kits to help you explore with young children:  blocks, science, and imaginary play.  (Created with funding from an LSTA grant from the IMLS)

Early Literacy iPad Kit

This kit contains 3 iPads, all loaded with early childhood apps, as well as a speaker for using Apps with a group.  (Created with funding from an LSTA grant from the IMLS)

Gaming Kits

2 collections of board games for teen/tween/adult programming (Created with funding from an LSTA grant from the IMLS)

Maker Kits

Kits for use with adults, teens, and kids to encouarge MAKING STUFF.

Die-Cut Machine and Dies

The machine and dies are housed at the Phillips Public Library.  You can send paper and requests to Jo to get them cut.  


Several libraries have costumes and they are willing to let others borrow them for in-library use.
