Keeping Up With Kids

If you have any students participating in your summer library program who have low vision or are blind, you might be interested to know that there are some resources available for them that are directly related to the Summer Library Program! The Collaborative Summer Library Program worked with the Wisconsin School for the Blind to make some of the pages of the manual accessible to kids who are blind. There are Braille puzzles and tractile graphic matching games and activity sheets. To see a sample, contact Leah ([email protected]) and I’ll send them your way. If you know you want to order some, go to Wisconsin Accessible Media Productions.

There is also a signing video available for librarians who are interested in incorporating sign into storytimes this summer (and beyond!). It is available to download when you log in to the CSLP Website. If you have trouble, let me know!
