Important! Link format for security: share with all staff.
This is from Kris Schwartz. Whenever you share a link to your website, we need to use a new format that starts with https:// and excludes the www. Using Spring Valley as an example, don’t use the old format: http://www.springvalleylibrary.org.
Use this format for all website links, including any links with extentions: https://springvalleylibrary.org

Transit Times and Purple Mountain Update
This is part of an email that Katelyn sent today. Check your inbox to read the whole thing. Her version has pictures!
Sorting and transit times are back to normal!
According to our statistics, Purple Mountain is caught up on sorting! They are fully staffed on sorters as of two weeks ago and we’ve seen them clear out the backlog and return transit times to an average of 1 week or less. This is great news and hopefully you’ve seen the results firsthand of items moving faster through the network.
Help courier run smoothly: label items with municipality name.
Reminder: When sending items through courier without printed transit slips, the slips NEED to be filled out with the municipal name and NOT the name of the library. Purple Mountain sorters do not know where the Calhoun library is, so they will send the item to IFLS prolonging transit time. They do know where the Chetek library is!
Early bird registration is open for WLA
The 2025 WLA Annual Conference will take place October 28 – October 31, 2025, at the Madison Marriott West in Middleton, WI. This year’s theme, “Be the Change,” celebrates the innovation, adaptability, and collaboration that makes our library community thrive. We’ve put together a packed schedule of speakers and events filled with opportunities to learn, connect, and be inspired.
