The Association for Library Service to Children administers a Light the Way grant, donated by Candlewick Press.  It is a $3000 grant to help a library create or continue services for underserved populations.  We all know that this encompasses a wide range of people and situations, and the grant application will be looking for statistics that demonstrate that the group you are serving or want to serve is in need of improved service in your area.

You can apply for the grant here–applications due December 1.

You can read more about the grant, including previous winners here.

If you are looking for someone to talk about your idea with, or read a draft of a grant application, try me!  Time permitting, I’d love to help.
