Tip Jar

Interlibrary Loan

You might have noticed an additional note in your Wiscat “Shipped” items – an ILL number! Including the OCLC ILL number in the Wiscat request should help with identifying which item goes with which request, and should be especially helpful when you have multiple copies for book club!

Annual Report Tip

For libraries without door counters, don’t forget about your survey weeks! IFLS recommends a minimum of one survey week per quarter, but to get a more representative sample of who uses your library, one survey week per month is even better.

Request to share

The Climate and Health Communications Collaborative is a group of climate and health professionals from across the state working to create a healthier climate, people, and communities through local action. They want to learn from folks across Wisconsin what inspires them to create a healthy climate. Can you post or share flyers about their short survey? English flyer, Spanish flyer

This request came from Kate Beardmore. Please let her know if you have any questions.

Cool corner

Now and then I come across something pretty cool from one of our libraries. I don’t even come close to capturing ALL the cool stuff that’s going on (please send things my way!) Would you like to see more of this kind of content? Here’s a one question poll.

From Shelby Friendshuh in Rice Lake: “A few months ago I worked with Tim at TreePurpose of Eau Claire to design and build a feature piece for our children’s space. I was looking for something with display function and was inspired by the look of a Waldorf playstand. He perfectly brought my vision to life and was great to work with. He installed the piece on Tuesday this week and it’s getting so much love already!  He mentioned that he really enjoyed the project and might be reaching out to other libraries to do similar work. I would be happy to share his information with anyone interested.”
